Hydrated Skin

It’s no secret that to get a glowing skin hydration is key. I had the opportunity to attend a skin care workshop led by the skin expert Tiffany Lee. Besides being a celebrity hairstylist and a makeup artist, Tiffany is a medical esthetician who has been working in the beauty industry for 2 decades. In this workshop she gave many tips to keep your skin hydrated.

  1. You need to get an overall perspective of what is going on in your life.” Meaning: nutrition, sleep, exercise, stress, weather. “What I love with skin care is that it reflects what’s going on inside,” Tiffany says. She packs up on high antioxidant and essential fatty acids foods. “As soon as I supplemented in Omega 3 I saw an improvement in my skin,” Tiffany explains.

  2. Go easy on your skin. Tiffany recommends an everyday gentle cleanser and a weekly exfoliation. “Do not weaken your skin barriers with over exfoliation,” Tiffany advises.

  3. Make sure you get a deep absorption of your product. For this part Tiffany encourages to work on your skin with a daily self face massage for 2 to 5 minutes. This practice helps the absorption of your moisturizer (Tiffany likes oil). She uses her knuckles as a tool to activate the circulation on her face.

  4. SPF is the best anti-aging product at any season,” the skin care expert says.

  5. One skin care routine doesn’t fit all. “I don’t believe in having only one routine,” Tiffany says. Feel free to reevaluate your habits according to the weather and what’s going on in your life.
